Reflections on war

Look closer at anything in church and you’re bound to notice something unexpected.

In this case, the memorial brass on the altar to Willmot brothers John and Robert, killed in the first world war, reflects the vivid colours and contorted shape of chancel windows.

On a bright July morning, they also present the colours of a medal ribbon.
