Safeguarding

The Parochial Church Councils (PCCs) of Coleshill, St. Peter & St. Paul with Maxstoke, St. Michael and All Angels recognise the need to safeguard children, young people and adults in our care and guard against the possibility of any form of abuse of them by persons who may be acting in the name of our parish.

We aim to create a safe environment for the nurture and development of children, young people and adults, in order for them to feel valued and confident to ask for support and help. We strive to ensure that our policies and procedures uphold the importance of our responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and adults entrusted to our care.

Our Parish Safeguarding Coordinator is Angela Davies.

Our Parish Domestic Abuse Lead is Sue Sidwell.

Angela ensures all of the PCC, the Pastoral Care Team and anyone else who is eligible receives training and a DBS check. She updates us at each PCC meeting regarding the latest training and information.

Angela is the person to contact if anyone believes a child, young person or vulnerable adult is at risk. She can be contacted on 0121 730 1673,  07759726073 or rangelina2006@hotmail.com

You can also contact the Church of England Birmingham’s Bishop’s Safeguarding Adviser, Steph Haynes on 07342 993 844 or stephh@cofebirmingham.com
