There are many crosses scattered around the church. This one was carved 160 years ago by stone and wood carver James Forsyth.
He worked in stone and wood to create lots of crosses, angels, grotesques in- and outside the building during the 1859/60 restoration.
This one decorates a choir stall in the chancel. They’re well worth taking the time to touch, and marvel at the skill and artistry used in their creation.
