Constant and unwearied

CVs weren’t invented over 200 years ago when this eulogy to curate the Rev Christopher Bell was chiselled and hung on a wall in church.

It wouldn’t be out of place on a computer printout today. Local lad the Rev Bell filled his 35 years with good stuff - a distinguished ornament of Clare Hall, Cambridge, a faithful and good curate and “to numerous acquaintance a valuable Friend”.

He was also a master at Coleshill Free Grammar School.
